Episode 7: Greetings from Orlando

Episode 7: Greetings from Orlando

Hello again Duhmericana listeners! How do you like the new site?! It's brand-spanking new and we're excited to bring you new content weekly.

Some more big news: we're now on iTunes! Search us on the Podcast App and don't forget to subscribe and share!

This week, we're welcoming you to our City Beautiful, good old O-town! We've got a lot more to offer than just our favorite mouse and some water parks (although they really are great water parks...).

Once known as just the place where snowbirds came during the winter, central Florida is now becoming the place for college students attending one of our many universities, a foodie-lover's gastronomical paradise, and the place where many companies have chosen to station their headquarters.

We offer the perspective of Benzy, the long-time local and Wilx, the recent transplant from up north. Very different vantage points, with one common opinion: Orlando is pretty rad.

Our Duh Moments:

Wilx says: Orlando is not just a place for retirees! It's a great place to raise families, or even for singles or young married couples to settle in and pursue careers. Don't give up on Orlando while its approaching its prime.

Benzy says: to echo a previous Duh Moment, if you are an Orlando local and a creative or entrepreneur, don't take your business elsewhere! All big cities had a few brave originators who gave it a chance and Orlando just needs a few of you to really settle its place on the map.
